Solve : How to delete a web link in address drop down bar??

Answer»

Under my tool bar is my address box to TYPE in the site address. I clicked on something in my mail and it brought me to an adult site which I clicked back out of. Now it is up in my address drop down bar that SAVES and shows all the sites that you typed in and went to. If you click on the little blue box at the end of the address box, all the addresses are in there so you don't have to re-type them back in again. Now that adult site is in there too. How can I just DELETE that site address out of there? I don't want my kids to SEE it in there and click on it.What web browser are you using?  Include the version number. I hope this is what you're asking. I use Internet Explorer with Windows XP. Is this right?Yes, that's part of what I was asking.  The other part, the version number, can be obtained by clicking on Help, About Internet Explorer.  I've had IE 7 now for, oh, maybe 8 months or so.  So, I don't recall how IE 6 compares to IE 7 in some aspects.  But, go to TOOLS, Internet Options, and look at your option for deleting browser history.  That worked, thank you..... I am glad your problem is solved.

Also, if you want to delete only one address, you can rest your mouse over the entry and push "delete" on your keyboard.

EDIT: I just tried my trick in IE 6 and it did not work.  I do not know if it works in IE 7 but it does work in Firefox.
