i have a FRIEND that has a apple mac notebook, she bought that notebook in store but it is SECOND hand and she don't know who the first owner of it.

the problem is this

first, she cannot enter or boot the laptop because it is password protected.
second, she dont a copy of mac os x installer.
third, we am not familiar in mac os x (we are familiar in windows os).

is there a way how to solve these problems without re-installing a mac os?

Oh dear! NEVER mind, a proper store that obeys the law will have the PREVIOUS owner's details.

I was right! What a surprise!!!!

Why not? What kind of "store" was this?

Then why did she buy it? Why did she buy it without a demo, and why did she not get the password? What kind of "store" sells a password-locked computer with the previous owner's OS install still on it? And does not supply the password?

Take the computer, and a legal signed receipt from the store showing that she is the legal owner, and details of the previous legal owner, and some cash, to a proper Apple store and maybe they will sort it out.

Or ask this "store" for your money back. If the Mac was legally theirs, they would have the password.

Or ask the police to help you. It may be stolen.

Regarding these stories, the more elaborate the lead-in to the "no password" part, the LESS likely I am to believe them. Mind you, I don't believe any of them anyway.

emphasis on the maybe.amazing. Absolutely terrific.
