Answer» i am haveing problems with my hp a6300f it was working fine but a mother board update download came up and i turn my computer off on mistake and now when i turn it on all it does is beep and the computer dont boot up and the windows dont start up so i was wondering if anybody had the same problem would know what wrong with it and how it can be fixedDo you mean windows update?
Was it a BIOS update?
How did you get the update?it was a hp update it allways pops up now and then and it could of been a bios updateWhen you turn the computer on do you get an image on the screen? Like the HP screen before windows starts.
Beeps almost always mean there is a problem with the RAM or video card. nope it gets no image but it beeps 2 times then quits for like 10 seconds then it does it again someone say the hard drive is FIRED but it was workin fine and its only a year old computer Is it still under warrranty?the warranty is over is there a way to reset the motherboardFirst open it up and blow it out with a can of compressed air. Take it outside to blow it out- the dust goes everywhere.
Take care to ground yourself before touching any interanl components. touch the meta frame and keep one arm on it while you are working. this is IMPORTANT - static electricity can fry your motherboard!
Now you want to reseat your RAM and video card. The video card is where the moitor plugs in. There should be one phillips head SCREW holding it in place Take the card out and make sure you reseat it firmly back into it's slot. The video card might look something like this
The RAM is next there will be two locking arms holding it in place. Push those down and remove the RAM and then reseat it. Make sure it lcoks back in place. It will look something like this
I cant stress the importance of grounding yourself before touching these parts enough! You can cause major damage with static electricity!texicanz i have the exact same problem, were you able to fix it? if so how?
jj 3000 our motherboards have the videocard integrated into the motherboard. however after reseating everything it still does the same thing. any other thoughts besides replacing the mother board?i figure it out the motherboard just went bad on it own they are pretty much cheap motherboards the bios chip on them burn up

hey i bought another foxconn motherboard the same brand this hp came with and it work for awhile and did the same thing i am guessin the foxconn motherboard sucks so i am gonna try a GIGABYTE GA-73PVM-S2H motherboard and i am really startin to hate hp computers nowHow long did you have that new motherboard before it went out? It could be your power supply. Did you use the same one? What is the wattage of your psu? It could also be the monitor. Do you have another one that you can try?

the power supply is new and the new one did not even last a month and i read other people problem with these motherboards sayin the bios chips on them suckI'm having the same problem and from what everyone has written, I know it's the motherboard that is fried. I was hoping it was only the video card that was fried, but I replaced it, and still nothing. I suggest that everyone replace the power supply-- I've owned two Pavillions and both have had faulty power supplies-- and the motherboard.
