How do u know if your COMPUTER has hyper-threading turned on. If u have to go into bios can u walk me though the process?. RUNNING...windows 10 64 BIT, Intel core i-7700k @4.20 GHZ, 16gb ram, nividia geforce GTX 1080. Went into task manager and it said i had..4 cores and 8 logical processors.
Cores is an actual HARDWARE component whereas thread is a VIRTUAL component that manages the tasks. Cores use content switching while threads use MULTIPLE CPUs for operating numerous processes. Cores require only a signal process unit whereas threads require multiple processing units.Jan 9, 2020

That is how. Hyperthreading is observed from operating systems as an additional logical processor for each core.
