okay well the monitor cable has these 2 screws that screw into the monitor port in the back of my pc and the sum how broke and now their stuck in my pc and with them in their i cant connect a monitor cable which BASICALLY renders my pc useless..i need to know if theirs any way i can take them out??? ONBOARD video or an addon card ? ?

BTW those are pretty hard to snap off...who's been workin on this machine ? ?i know nothing whatsoever about computers so i dunno wat that is

my stupid a$$...i use this pc for gaming and set it up in my ROOM wen i wanna play and i guess the end that i wanted to plug into the pc actually goes to the monitor and it both screw just snapped off and their stuck insideanybody wanna throw out some advice???Did they snap off or just unscrew with the cable when you removed it?

If they just unscrewed then get some needlenose pliers and remove them from the end of the cable and screw them back into the back of the video card.

Don't overtighten any of those screws on cables, they should only ever be finger tight.Quote from: Quantos on January 09, 2010, 10:45:16 AM

err... the cable has the screws... not the video card

oh hold on, I see which ones you mean.

I'm not 100% on exactly what happened, but I believe the thumbscrews on the cable itself were snapped off within the screwhole of the SMALL screw on the video card quantos mentioned.

If you have another video card; or any peripheral component, you can remove the small screws from the video card (the ones now containing the busted bits of screw) and replace them with screws from another component.Quote from: BC_Programmer on January 09, 2010, 10:50:36 AM

Yeah, it's a little early in the day and I can't for the life of me remember what those ones are called. Probably something to do with anchor points or some such...A very small Easy-Out will get those screws out...but their hard to find.Jackscrews can be removed.

Yes, that's correct. More or less. It's just SEMANTICS, the port is attached to the video card.http://www.tons-of-tools.com/easy-screw-extractor-p-2141.html
