After all, if there are separate uninstallers, and you delete one, it doesn't make a whole lot of sense to think that the add/remove utility will get the magical ability to do everything the deleted uninstaller did (that is, uninstall the updates). That would sort of mean that the uninstaller was unnecessary to begin with.

No, when you uninstall windows updates from Add/Remove you run the very same uninstallers being discussed.

yeah, I missed mentioning that, I sorta figured it was common sense, in a way.

After all, if there are separate uninstallers, and you delete one, it doesn't make a whole lot of sense to think that the add/remove utility will get the magical ability to do everything the deleted uninstaller did (that is, uninstall the updates).
