Hi all! My name's Thier. I can't edit my Excel files that i need any help.

So I have a Sony Vaio with Windows 7 Ultimate. I can open Excel files but I can not edit them. How can this be? The same files will open on a Windows 10 computer.
Can ANYONE help me fix this problem please.

Thank you in advance for your kind assistance.when you open the Excel file, does it mention the file is READ Only up in the window title bar?
or does it pop up a window along the lines "password is needed to modify this file"?
are you getting any sort of ERROR message?Mark...
