You must think i'm a total blonde But I've been trying to figure this out for ALMOST 3 hrs now.
I got a Bazooka AS-212A Speakers/Subwoofer to hook up to my computer, Now I know my speakers work cause I tested it out on Skype and when I did the audio test I hear the music come out of it.
But when I try to play my windows media player or YOUTUBE it doesn't work.. Grrrr..
Please Help me I don't know what I'm doing WRONG

Can you log into you PC as another user?
Even the guest user?
Maybe it works on another user account.
If so, that would be another clue.
ok so the sound worked on the guest account..
Now how do I get it to work on my account?Best gees is that Skye blocks you sound system when it is active.
You may to need to make sure it is not running when you want to use WMP.

Quote Windows Media Player 11 Video Playback Issues?!?!?
I am having a video playback issue with WMP 11. The sound comes up but the picture is really distorted. It's almost black and really the only prominent color that can be distinguished is red. It looks like the picture has been turned into a really dark negative! It has effected my webcam too. The person who I am talking to, via Skype, geta a crystal clear picture, but the incoming video and the box that shows what my cam is SEEING is distorted like the video playback in WMP 11. Any suggestions?
Sad to say, there was no good answer. The above is NOT a isolated case.
Anyway, you have a workaround. Go create another user account for yourself and use it for watching videos outside of Skype.
BTW, what version of Windows? Which version of the Windows Media Player? Which version of Skype?
There are know issues with the 64 bit Windows and with Windows Vista.

Thanks for the help. I had to restore everything on my computer, The program I installed deleted my audio LOL.. ty for the help tho
