Solve : Is it possible to have access to BIOS on a laptop with a broken screen??

Answer»

I have a Samsung 530u3c notebook with a BROKEN screen. I am using an external monitor with an HDMI to use the laptop. I am looking to format a new copy of windows but when I restart the laptop the monitor won't get a signal until I log into windows 7.

I LOOKED ONLINE and absolutely cannot find a solution to this problem. Does anyone have any idea how I can by pass this? Or it's just not possible? The screen on the laptop is really broken, wires are all cut up, I picked this up from a friend for free, he was really rough with it.

Thanks

So you already have a working solution. But your can not get into the BIOS.
Does that describe your issue?
Yes, most notebooks will not get into the BIOS and show up on the second monitor.
You can replace the screen.

You can buy a replacement screen for $99.95 with free shipping .
But, IMHO, that is a high PRICE. I think you could get a used screen for half the price. Or even buy an non-working Samsung 530u3c notebook sold for the parts.Often if you physically unplug the internal screen from the motherboard it will force the output to the external screen. Worth a try anyway.
