Solve : Is UltraSurf a malware??

Answer»

Is UltraSurf a malware?

Trying to google it out and some say that it is a trojan. Attached here is the insatller of UltraSurf. Can someone check or investigate it? Tried to ran 3 programs on my laptop (Avira, SAS, and MBAB) but they didn't find any malicious with UltraSurf.

Tried also in other machine using ESET NOD32 Antivirus and didn't find any malicious also.

It scans with a large number of well known (and others, not so much) scanners to make sure it is what it is. It is not malwareSo what exactly IS Ultrasurf and how does it function? Hmmmm.
I wouldn't put too much stock in anything McAfee has to say. The software is fine. Quote from: Allan on March 09, 2010, 10:24:42 AM

Yes...but where there's doubt, hit it a clout. After reading the Sysinternals THREAD I'd have to say it's probably just the victim of False Positive's based on doing what it's supposed to do, which happens to coincide with things that malware does as well.

Also I couldn't help but chuckle at the comments "unless you have source code you shouldn't trust it"

yeah, those comments aren't coming from Linux zealots or anything
