Solve : Just to say "Hi everybody", long time - no post.?

Answer»

I usually have a problem that I need help with when I log on here, but lately my pc's have been running smooth - also my job takes up ~ 14hrs a day so I don't have time to visit here like I use to. I just wanted to say "Hi"  to all you that have helped me so MUCH in the past. But someday soon I plan to build another system so don't anyone go to sleep - I'll likely need PLENTY of help... as usual LOL...
Hi back, what do you plan on building this time?I don't know yet. I haven't had a chance to do much research lately but so far I'm thinking a core i7 extreme cpu, don't know yet about the mboard, wd velociraptor drives and gtx480 video cards. I still have some research to do and a few hours of overtime to work  but I'd like get it up and running by summer.
Based on my experience I like Intel, WD, GeForce ect., but I was not happy with some issues concerning the Gigabyte motherboard I used on my LAST build. So, at this point I welcome any suggestions and direction. An ASUS board WOULD be a good 2nd choice...
I've not had any issues with any Gigabyte boards i've installed...probably 20 or so. Quote from: patio on APRIL 03, 2010, 12:45:38 PM

I almost bought an ASUS board for the last build. Maybe a Rampage II Extreme for this build?

The Gigabyte board was great after I finally got the CPU in it. The perimeter of the socket was defective and if I remember right  I had to trim it with a razor blade and then still almost broke the board getting the CPU fully seated.
