Answer» my sisters kids were on the computer 1 night and some how managed to put a password on the login screen i have ask them what they type but he one who done it is only 4yrs old i tryed hint it just says 1.Is there a way round this with rebooting the whole SYSTEM & lose all the programes you have on the computer i have heard a a security hole there somewhere THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP IN THIS MATTERIt is against forum policy to provide advice / information on what is essentially cracking the computer. In the past, I've been able to use the original (legitimate) operating system disk to either repair or re-install the operating system while having it save my data. There have been other occasions where I've had no choice but to format and start over.the hint is 1? Did you TRY that as the password? try bribing the kid for the password... He probably thinks he is in trouble and won't SAY what the password is unless he knows he won't get in bigger trouble.Sorry its against the policy to answer such things. System Restore will do nothing to solve this dilemna...ty u anyway some1 told me that reboot disc that u use repair or something like that but hey could not remember how 2 do it

well i try repair 1st if that dont work i reset the comp
