Solve : laptop computer wallpaper problem?

Answer» How do you remove wallpaper from a laptop computer?  I tried to remove a wallpaper scene from my TOSHIBA Satellite C650 laptop
but to no avail.  The procedure I use to remove wallpaper from my desktop computer will not work with my laptop.  THANK you for any
help you are able to provide me with my problem.

Thanks,
TerryWelcome to CH.
How did you try to remove the wallpaper?
Is this the FIRST time you had this problem?
Rite clik an empty spot on the Desktop and select Properties...choose Background/Wallpaper and change it to your preference... TO:  Geek After Dark

Thanks for Your reply to my question.  I made a mistake and put Windows XP as my O/S.  It should have been Windows 7.  This is what I've done to get rid of my wallpaper:  I right clicked on a blank area of my screen, selected" Personaltization", clicked" Desktop Backround"
at the left side of the screen, clicked"clear All"  and than clicked "save changes".  After going all that. the wallpaper is still there.

TerryOK. Windows 7 is a little different.

Change your desktop background (wallpaper)
The above applies to Windows 7.Is there more than 1 User account on this PC ? ?I'm pretty sure they made wallpaper changing more difficult in Windows 7.

With XP, changing a wallpaper is certainly easier than OPENING a browser, searching for computer help, navigating through a forum, registering an account and posting your question. QUOTE from: Veltas on August 17, 2012, 10:01:36 AM
I'm pretty sure they made wallpaper changing more difficult in Windows 7.

They didn't.

Windows 7:

1. Right click Desktop.
2. Choose Personalize
3. Click "Desktop Background" link.
4. Select color or browse for file

Windows XP:

1. Right click desktop.
2. Choose Properties
3. Click Desktop tab.
4. Select color or browse for file

Thanks to everyone who helped me with the problem I was having with removing wallpaper from Windows 7, Geek-9pm and
Salmon Trout in particular.  I truly appreciate your help.
