My sister had got a gaming laptop not sure of the specs since its new other then dual core and thats about it. It runs vista she had put flight simulator x on it and cant get it to run right. It see's the disk for the most part and had installed but she cant get it to run at all like there are no shortcuts or anything like that. She is getting agravted an I am not sure what to do. Since I havent really used vista I told her about youd's but she doesnt want to mess it up like bsod or something realated.Every program and especially Microsoft programs should get placed into the Windows Start menu. If it's not seen in the Start menu it's likely it was not installed on the computer, she can try INSTALLING again without FEAR of causing errors.

You can also do a Google image search for examples of what the Vista start menu looks like if you need more help with guiding her.I've noticed some newer games don't create shortcuts or start menu directories on vista; instead they use the vista games explorer thing. It's in start>games.thats interesting, its not so much that but she doesnt want it to like have sys FILES corrpted.she had installed twice with the same results.
