Solve : Laptop Keyboard Problem.?

Answer»

Hello.

I've been having problems with my laptop keyboard. I'm using an HP DV4000, and recently the keys have been making clicking sounds, and have been getting stiffer as the computer heats up. Usually this would be thought of as something spilled on the keyboard, but that's not the case (Nothing has been spilled on or inside the keyboard). I have removed the keys, cleaned them one by one, and it still happens. The more the computer heats up, the worse the keys seem to get.

Any suggestions? Maybe a list of things that could be causing my keyboard to act this way?

Thanks.Have you ever done maitenence on your keyboard?
Is your computer getting to a temperature level that is beyond what it should be?Buy one of those cooling pads, keep the laptop cool to prevent the keys from 'stiffening up' ...? When the computer gets too hot, the keys start to stick........i know when two pieces of PLASTIC get too hot like at almost MELTING temperature, they get sticky and can stick TOGETHER a bit. Maybe the fan isn't cooling your computer efficiently.Your computer must be getting too hot.

Everyone else is saying it, so I thought I'd join it.
