Answer» i have an e machine laptop model (w34oua). i purchased at wal mart back in 2006 i am wanting to know if it was recalled due to overheating and fire risk......thanks Can't find anything. Why? Overheating PROBLEMS?It worries me because it gets so HOT that it will actually burn you if it is setting in your lap. The heat seems to be coming from the top left side of it.I have it setting on a laptop stand that i purchased that has the fans on the bottom but it just dont seem to be helping.It still overheats and SHUTS it self off.It has been doing this since DAY one and now with all the laptop recalls i am wondering if MINE was also recalled,But i dont know where to look to find out.
