Answer» i just bought a laptop, it started up nice and fine and when i plugged it in, it went nice and bright, then i took it out and it went darker to save power like it's supposed to, but now when i plug it in it doesn't get BRIGHTER again. what did i do to my pretty new laptop? i must have done something in between. thanks.There USUALLY is an Fn button on laptops; it may be a different color. On the keys, particularly things like the arrows and PAGE up and down, there are words or symbols, in TEH color of the Fn key, taht represwent what they do when you hold down Fn and press them. Usually, the up and down arrows adjust brightness, so TRY holding down Fn or another key you don't find on desktop (if you don't have fn), and pressing arrows. If that doesn't work, try searching manufactorer's website, or call them - you didn't do anything wrong. good luck!
