Solve : Lenovo ideapad 320 with blank hard drive and no screen?

Answer»

I recently purchased a broken LENOVO ideapad 320 with no hard drive and a broken screen. I uninstalled the screen and put in a freshly formatted hard drive hoping to install Linux onto the laptop. When I TRIED to get into the bios it wouldn’t display to the monitor I plugged it into. I thought it was trying to display to the screen that’s not there so I’m looking for any help I can get. ThanksEven with no HDD you should still get the BIOS splash screen....it may be more damaged than you think.I’m sure there is a bios it just won’t display on an external monitor.Well it should...read the MANUAL to see if you need to use an F key to switch to external grafix...Does it power up at all? That wasn't entirely clear from what you've described.

From PICTURES of the keyboard it looks like the toggle to switch to the external display is Fn+F10.
