Solve : Linky's Router?

Answer»

My friend gave me a Linky's 2.4 GHz wireless broadband router. I'm not advanced when it comes to this kind of stuff like you all on here.
Could SOMEONE give me tips on what to do with thing. What purpose does it serve? Does it come in handy? Thanks for any input! You use a router to set up a home network, and so that a number of devices in the same building such as computers, phones, tablets, etc can all use an internet connection at the same time. Are you sure its brand is really spelled "Linky's"?

And, a router can be a WAY to use one printer among multiple computers; this is done by connecting a network-capable printer to the router. Quote from: soybean on March 20, 2015, 07:42:32 AM

A router connects different networks, in a home situation commonly these will be the home network and the Internet. On the home network (i.e. plugged into the router using Ethernet cables, or connected via wireless) can be network capable devices including computers, tablets, SMART phones, smart TVs, printers, scanners, VOIP phones ("internet phones"), file servers and others. The devices on the home network are accessible to each other, and some of them may be allowed to connect to the Internet.
