Solve : Loading OS onto former server? |
Answer» I inherited a Powermac G4 that was used as a server and cannot seem to get the Tiger10.4 to load. I tried HOLDING down the C key while booting to boot from disc, but just got a blank screen. I'm using a PC KEYBOARD - what would the equivalent to "C" be? Thanks for any help!Follow this link for 10.4x support and requirements. If your disc is a DVD and your drive is only a CD rom (or cdrw) you won't be able to boot off of the disc. Another OPTION when booting is to press and hold the "alt" or "option" key as SOON as you turn the power on. This will bring up the apple boot menu that allows you to choose what to boot from. |
