Solve : Loss of connection immediantly when joining server?

Answer»

I lose my connection to gaming server's immediantly when I join them. This happens with ALL games.(Counter-Strike, Battlefield2) Sometimes it will work fine, other times it wont. I have a Comcast router. My brothers computer WORKS fine when gaming tho. :-/ Anybody have any suggestions as to fixing this problem? Thanks, kampz.Do you have the latest patch installed? If you don't you need to install it in order to use multiplayer properly.

Flameyes I have all the recent patches. This happens with EVERY game, not just one. :-/Has it always DONE this? When did this start? Have you made any changes to your system recently?

FlameIt started once I switched to a router. Ok. It sounds like maybe your router's internal FIREWALL is blocking access. Do you have your instruction manual with you?

FlameOk, I did a little bit of digging at EA Games for Battlefield 2. Here are your instructions to fix this issue with the firewall and the game... http://support.ea.com/cgi-bin/ea.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=8961&p_created=1118858228&p_sid=*m_UMj6i&p_accessibility=&p_lva=&p_sp=cF9zcmNoPTEmcF9zb3J0X2J5PSZwX2dyaWRzb3J0PSZwX3Jvd19jbnQ9MiZwX3Byb2RzPTcsMTM4OCwxMDAzJnBfY2F0cz01NjYmcF9wdj0zLjEwMDMmcF9jdj0xLjU2NiZwX3NlYXJjaF90eXBlPWFuc3dlcnMuc2VhcmNoX25sJnBfcGFnZT0xJnBfc2VhcmNoX3RleHQ9cm91dGVy&p_li=&p_topview=1...
