Solve : Mac and seagate hard drive deleting issues?

Hey guys & girls,

Just bought a seagate 2tb hard DRIVE desktop expansion. It's not designed for mac, which perhaps is the problem.

At FIRST it was read only until I did the following http://darktraining.com/mac/73/

Which leads me to my problem.

I'm transferring movies onto the external to clear up SPACE on my mac. I transfer the file from the mac to the external it's fine.

HOWEVER: When I then GO to delete the file I transfered from my mac, it also deletes it on my hard drive.

I don't know what do, and couldn't find ANYTHING on google.

Any help is much appreciated.
