Solve : Magnetic fields may open door to efficient wireless power?

Answer»

WOW! This would be so amazing if this ends up coming out to the public.

Scientists from the Massachusetts Institute of TECHNOLOGY (MIT) have demonstrated a new method to wirelessly transfer power from a power source to an electronic device. The MIT claims that the new approach may be efficient enough to even run notebooks over room-sized distances and decrease our dependency on batteries overall.

LinkThat would be fantastic.Great job guys, now we're getting somewhere.Hey, I made a voice-activated door, and my brother made a rain-activated awning, but you don't see them in stores near you.

But if we could use that worldwide, we would be getting somewhere.I got a voice controlled computer. Software called E-Speaking is a voice recognition software I sometimes use when I can't be bothered to use the mouse.
Really cool.

"open NOTEPAD"
"Type hello"
"File"
"save as"
"type STUFF"
"enter"I think my friend has that (or some other voice software), but it worked kinda strangly when I SAW it.

He said something into it, and it wrote (because Notepad was open) something INVOLVING the words monkey, uncle, wheelchair, and Peter.Yeah, sometimes if you say something, the computer writes down what it thinks you said. I saw that, it looks like the news is jumping all over this one today 6-8-07
along with the stem cell thingy, Science is roaring this week on the biology & tech side !!

You go some weeks on end with the same old/ same old and now days like yesterday and today, the new stuff is everywhere !!!

nice post*

Yeah, my mum said she heard it on the news this morningThis is really cool, Nathan! However, I think it'd be cooler if it were The Magnetic Fields.
