Answer» Just a question, I am currently working on a website (programmed in html and javascript) and I was wondering how other websites (e.g. this one) create new PAGES (like this thread) for users to see. At the moment, if users want to add data to the website they have to email me and I have to add it manually, which is really inconvinient.
So for an example, lets have them make a html DOCUMENT that anyone can see at "http://myexample.myexample.com/user_made_pages/" (not that that is the website, duh) when they fill out a form at "http://myexample.myexample.com/submit_a_page/"
I am a novice when it comes to web programming, even if i can make programs for windows...
I know it MUST be possible to do it (when I press the [post] button on this page it makes a new webpage), but my problem is letting it do it, and I can't find anything on google to HELP (it returns stuff about scripts running under windows)
Thanks, BONESA good starting place would be learning some PHP. A book I have found to be quite handy and very easy to follow is PHP Programming With MySQL by Don Gosselin, but I'm sure other members will have their own suggestions.
After getting a bit of basic PHP knowledge, you could easily do what you have described.Thats alright, I looked up it in a different search engine, and it told me to look up php. I'm already learning it. Thanks for your help though.
