My old laptop computer busted (water). I was able to get the hard drive and connect it to my new laptop. The outlook 2000 I had on my hard drive does not open on my new computer (I installed outlook xp on the new one), how can I get my contacts folder from the hard drive on outlook 2000? I can not find my contacts folder on the hard drive (connected through usb). THANK you.
Asif SamadEnsure you can view hidden files. Then search for files of extension .pstThank you for the reply, UNFORTUNATELY did not find any .pst file after doing a *.pst search. I have hidden files enabled to view. It might be I have to install outlook 2000, instead of outlook xp on my new computer. This way I could open outlook 2000 from my old laptop hard drive.
Outlook files are usually stored under your profile. For example, mine are under C:\DOCUMENTS and Settings\Rob\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook. Is that the KIND of place you've been checking?
