    				| 1. | Solve : Microsoft Pushes IE8 With Ads that are Actually Funny? |
| Answer» Microsoft has done it again: The company has released ANOTHER set of baffling and mystifying ads, but this time they're actually funny. The software giant released four new ads to promote Internet Explorer 8 starring Lois and Clark's Dean Cain as a 1960s style ad man- -- no doubt inspired by AMC's Mad Men. So far the new ad campaign is an online-only affair, and uses the tagline ‘Browse Better.'. Link Haha! I like the use of the lolcats and acronyms! Too bad its not very secure CAUSE it sounds like it has some nice features. I like them. Whoever thought of them are pretty good! The last video was removed so heres a new link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3HiIHV14A-cIMHO, the bad taste of the above video matches IE8 quality.http://www.dailytech.com/Microsoft+Pulls+IE8+Vomit+Ad/article15590.htm Quote Microsoft received a high amount of criticism for a recent ad, forcing the company to remove itQuote from: evilfantasy on July 06, 2009, 02:16:16 PM http://www.dailytech.com/Microsoft+Pulls+IE8+Vomit+Ad/article15590.htm If you saw the video (which I wouldn't RECOMMEND hunting down and seeing) it was in poor taste and shouldn't of even MADE it to the website in my opinion. They seem to shoot themselves in the foot when it comes to TV ads. Very few in the last year have been worthwhile. Most have had a very unclear message. The "I'm a PC" spots were the only good ones IMO. It seems they have forgotten how to lead and they can't follow very well either...Bobcat Goldwhaithe produced the puke video... 3rd video they've PAID him to do that never saw airtime...You would think after the 1st....If your brain is in working condition, yes... | |
