Answer» I have a Windows XP disk that I want to install on a laptop tht has W98 on it, but I cannot boot it from the drive to replace the old O/S... but I cannot boot it from the drive why cant you? can you not access the BIOS?So this isn't a shiny CD that has holograms and says Microsoft all over it ? ? At any rate try ENTERING the BIOS setup on bootup and set the CDRom as the first boot device...
