Answer» I've heard of this before. I just bought a new computer and my mouse is clicking on EVERYTHING. This is especially evident in the START menu on the desktop. And as I TYPE, the mouse DECIDES to start inserting my typing into the middle of my text. Or, it clicks on other things on the page so my text stops. I have a feeling this is coming from the touch pad on my laptop. I've heard of how you can get viruses this way when you skim over an advertisement and your mouse clicks and subsequently downloads it. Any way I can gt rid of this annoyance? Using Win XP. Check that you haven't got it SET to jump to the insertion point. Click Control PANEL, Mouse, Pointer Options and uncheck the box half way down that say jump automatically to the dialogue box or something like that.Checked, it wasn'in the first place. is this on the net...remote access..more info>http://support.microsoft.com/kb/96016/en-us
