You're RIGHT the first "The Authors Site" link is a direct link from mozilla's FTP site. Still baffles me Mozilla would distribute it like this. I'd recommend http://www.filehippo.com/download_firefox/ as a place to get the updates and other software. SURE...anyway, I'd still get all my updates from the Mozilla WEBPAGE...I've never been on the other site, but I can trust Mozilla.I use Filehippo, especially for Firefox downloads. They've got an inventory of all Firefox versions, pretty neat.
