Answer» Help! MICROSOFT Word will not start up. I get the message, "Not enough memory to open MS Word." All other programs function normally, including EXCEL, etc. The problem is limited to MS Word. Uninstall/Reinstall has no effect. "Repair Office" has no effect. Pentium 4, 2.4Ghz; 512 meg RAM. The corrupt file was a WORD Template CALLED "NORMAL". Word searches for this file at STARTUP. Renaming or deleting the NORMAL Template causes WORD to create a new one that is not corrupt, and WORD is working normally once again.
