Answer» Hello, I have searched for computer lockup questions similar to mine but I think my situation might be Little different or I havent found a DISCUSSION as similar as mine is so I thought I would post my question hoping you all could help me pinpoint my problem. I'm running windows XP professional with service pack3. I have an amd sempron 2800+ 1.6 GHz processor, 2GB ram and 2 harddrives one with 80 and another with 111 GB of space (if you need more info about my computer please ask).
I play Warcraft but lately as I am playing my computer just seizes up. The SCREEN freezes in place whatever it is I'm doing. It began doing it only once a day but now it's becoming more and more frequent. It seems to only happen when I'm playing warcraft. But it HAPPENS acouple times when I'm surfing the web. My computer runs fine when I'm not doing anything on it and my screensaver runs all night without any issue. There's so many issues that would cause lockups I dont know what to do. I've checked my drivers but I don't see any "!" or "?"s. Ive recently reformatted so I don't think it's that. Please help me! If there's something very similar posted in here to my topic I apologize in advance. Just didn't find anything similar. Thank you all for your help in advance. thank you. Do all the regular maintenence such as diskclean and defrag... Then run all your malware scans including A/V and Trojan scanners... Reboot and see if THINGS improve.Thank you very much for the info. I'll try that.
