OS
ISP
i have a windows xp pro ver. 2002 sp2
isp vipowernet.netJust to see, do this:

1) Go into Command Prompt. You can get there by GOING Start > Run > and type CMD and press OK.
2) In command Prompt, type ipconfig /all and press enter.
3) copy and past here what it says.also, do you use a Router or do you connect directly to the modem?i connetc directly to my modemi cant cpoy n paste cuz i have to put the ethernet switch n and out the desktop and laptop to see every little thingOk... try this, dunno if it will solve your problem, but it's another thing that can be taken off the list.

1) Connect the computer to your modem.
2) Go back into Command Prompt
3) Type ipconfig /release
4) Wait for it to run. If it works correctly, it should say something with your IP address set to 0.0.0.0 as well as another address set to 0.0.0.0
5) Then, type ipconfig /renew
6) Wait for it to run. If it works correctly, it should show you something similar to when you use the ipconfig /all command earlier.
7) Exit command prompt and see if you can get to the internet.

Now, you have 2 computers and only a single modem. Have you always switched back and forth between your computers on the modem?
