I bought the  compag for WINDOW vista home basic  in one year and 3 day, now I even cant do nothing

here when I open the window . it only show the cursor on the top left of the screen. look like the window dont even run.

PLEASE help.. I have all important infomation on my hard drive.

let me ask you something , when i buy the computer. dont it suppose to have cd come with it?  all it has it upgrade cd. when I PUT upgrade cd in it show microsoft run back and forward all day. still not working .compag? What is it do I need more info Can you boot into Safe Mode?
What kind of upgrade CD is it? What EXACTLY does it say?[when I turn on the computer it said
press ESC to change booth order
press f 10 to enter set up 
I did every THING all it has cursor on the top left

the windows dont even run
the cd just for upgrade only. I should back up .[when I put cd window xp . look like it works . all it say Microsoft Corporation  . go bakc and forward..

please help

Do you have a create recovery disks option you have not used
yet ?Yeah, Compaq either comes with Recovery DVDs, you can create a set, or you can call Compaq to send you a set for free.that 's OK.. the technician told me I have to buy new hard drive. and they will send me the disk
