Solve : Nice digital camera?

Answer»

What does anyone think would be the best digital camera when it comes to taking pictures at night and be able to see the images nicely without the flash LIKE seeing the image as your eye sees it I can't recommend a camera but I know taking those kind of night time pictures is about using the RIGHT technique. You will need to configure the camera to use a long exposure time and you will need a tripod (or something else to hold the camera steady). If you do that I believe any good quality digital camera should be able to do it.I just GOT the Canon A720 for Christmas and it works pretty well in low lighting conditions. It has manual shutter speeds, aperture sizes, ISO modes, and flash output that you can play around with to get the right quality.
I just wish I had a tripod to go with it.

You also want to set your ISO to at least 400 or more. You can play with the shutter speed etc. for the desired result just like a film camera. At least with digital you will see your result right away. If you don't like it, delete it.

A trick I use is simply lay the camera on something solid like a wall or even lean up against something solid like a tree, wall, etc.
