Answer» I have a Clevo notebook D22ES and the sound is not working, where can I find out what the proper audio setting should be AND how do I know if I need a new soundcard? I WENT to a computer store and they told me I would have to buy and EXTERNAL sound card for a notebook, is this true or is there any way of fixing/replacing the one I have? Thank you for any info you can give.... this SUCKS!!First CHECK if the correct drivers are installed for your sound card.have you tried the narrator option in winxp..and for a sound test type dxdiag in the run BOX..Your computer has sound. There is no sound card; it's a notebook computer.
This is your computer: http://www.clevo.com.tw/products/D22ES.aspOn the internet, go to your computer manufacturer's website. Usually they supply a good amount of current drivers for you to grab.
