Solve : October Poll: How many different passwords do you have?? |
|
Answer» I use KeePass password manager to keep track of 160+ web LOG ins. Doesn’t everyone accumulate login credentials over time?LIKE you, I have accounts with well over a hundred websites requiring username and password. It runs the gamut (forums, vendors, financial, etc.). If you read my first post in this thread, it explains how I use an Access database for passwords. But, I don't use nearly as many different passwords as you because I'm not using a software tool that generates passwords, as you are. For example, I use the same password on most forums. Bromide, I think you're not being paranoid, you're just doing it better than most people. You're using perhaps the best method by using a software tool designed specifically for password security.Just noticed this, KIND of odd how the forum's results are different from the main page... Forum: Only use one -14 (17.9%) 2 - 3 -16 (20.5%) 4 - 5 -18 (23.1%) 6 - 7 -8 (10.3%) Over 7 -22 (28.2%) Remove Vote Total Members Voted: 54 (Real total: 78) Page: Only use one 14 (17%) 2 - 3 16 (20%) 4 - 5 18 (23%) 6 - 7 8 (10%) Over 7 22 (28%) Total Members Voted: 41 (Real total: 78) So, they're both off...understandable if guests can vote, but why are they different?i voted on the page , will it add it self to the main forum page Quote from: rthompson80819 on October 05, 2010, 06:42:29 PM Like they USED to say in Chicago, vote early and vote often. lol Mayor DaleyI have 3 passwords but its a 10 character password composed of random letters and numbers.I used to have about 6 or more passwords, but today I'm going to all the websites I'm registered with and changing them all so I only have two.I think I have 6 passwords........but I just wish I could remember them as I get older |
