Solve : Old Computer In Storage? |
|
Answer» I was given an older COMPUTER of three years that was in storage where I work. They replaced them with updated computers. I hooked it up at home and supplied it with a monitor, mouse, keyboard and printer. Yes, you probably guessed it; I can not start the computer. I checked inside the tower for disconnects and there isn't any. All plugs are secure! I have already upgraded my newer computer with a better hardrive and printer and Windows XP and I have not had a problem. My only problem was having Windows Millenium prior to XP. Is there a possibility that there are batteries inside the older computer that have died out from being in storage for a long time? Why won't my computer power up? What should I do?Replace the CMOS battery - not doubt it is nbg after that term in storage. Well what kind of starage is this? CLIMATE controlled? If it got way too hot in that storage unit, then you can forget about it! Also, if it got wet..... You're not going anywhere. |
