Solve : PC dead? |
|
Answer» What could be the reason for a PC that is dead, could it be the power unit or Motherboard, is there anything ELSE I should look at. I think you should post this in the Hardware Section seeing as it sounds like a hardware issue. How can you tell it's a hardware issue from the info the OP provided. We don't even know what they mean by "dead". It could mean unbootable, it could mean fried, many things. OP, please provide more valuable information; what do you mean by dead? What were you doing before it "died"? System specs. Etc. Sorry if I didn't explain what is wrong with the pc, the pc doesn't come on, no lights, nothing, press the start button and nothing happends.Borrow a known WORKING PSU of the same or greater wattage and swap it in there... While you have the case OPEN take the time to check all connections and do some housekeeping if needed...Quote from: patio on November 18, 2009, 07:52:41 AM Borrow a known working PSU of the same or greater wattage and swap it in there... Sounds like hardware to meThanks for the help, I will try a PSU. What hardware should I look at if the PSU is ok?Let's do this first... Right now it would be sheer speculation. Thanks to all for the help, it was the PSU, I was a bit SURPRISED it was that as the pc wasn't that old, Thanks again Good News... Stop by anytime ? PS. Don't buy one of those 25Dollar replacements...or we'll see you sooner than later... |
