Solve : PC games on a Mac?

Answer»

Hi i have a macbook (white) and i just downloaded dosbox for mac. Is there a way to run pc games like new games on mac?that's not what dosbox is intended for.

If you want to run new PC games on a mac, the best way would be to install Windows XP, vista, or 7 on part of your hard drive. To do this, use "Boot Camp Assistant" which came with your macbook.how do i use this BOOTCAMP?Go to this website:
http://www.apple.com/support/bootcamp/

There's an installation guide there.I can also recommend LOOKING at piratebay for a ciderized game, downloading it and then if it WORKS buy the pc version
cider can run alot of games, but has trouble with DIRECTX 9.0c or higherIs Mac Crossover application reliable enough to use? I understand it's a WINE based application for the Mac. (Linux has a crossover app too)Quote from: 2x3i5x on December 21, 2009, 11:20:42 AM

It's commercially sold now, so for what that's worth, I'd say it's pretty safe.Quote from: 2x3i5x on December 21, 2009, 11:20:42 AM

I've had good luck the few times I've used it. What crossover version and what OS version are you on?Quote from: socrates on December 23, 2009, 06:23:38 AM

They probably GOT their copy off thepiratebay, which would definitely explain why it didn't work. The ironic part is that what hardly ever works are "ciderized" games, or more precisely, illegitimate ciderized games.

true.
