Solve : Pc will not turn on, help!!?

Answer»

Hi everyone,

i recently bought a fujitsu stylus 3400 (old i know) off of EBAY to use as a library for my ebooks for uni.
I have charged it and it will not turn on, all i get it a black screen and the fan starting and stopping. I tried to use an external screen with a better response time and it flickers like the machine wants to display something and then resets and is stuck in a loop. I have tried resetting and all SORTS, it will also not boot with the power supply connected.
It's hard to tell what's wrong because there's LITTLE information, it can't even get to the bios, so any help in the matter would be appreciated

Thanks in advance!!Is there any warranty that comes with your notebook?

I think it might be the "bought notebook off of Ebay" warranty that starts with a Z and ends with an O.

Battery might be shagged out, perhaps?

I doubt it's the battery, it holds charge and i have the same problem when powered by cable.
Thanks for replies, keep 'em coming. It could be what we technical people call "broken". Unfortunately there are people around who use Ebay to sell junk to people.

Hope you didn't pay too much for it.

Are you for real?
@jerryheavyarms
Z E R O

ListerStorm, I hate to say it but it sounds like you've bought a broken machine. And I'm guessing it would cost more to repair it than you gave for it (hopefully).Quote from: Dias de verano on February 23, 2008, 05:44:19 AM

Hey, you are for real! You must be the only person in the world who does not know what Ebay is. Ebay is an online auction website where companies and private individuals buy and sell things. If you buy from a private individual you have no warranty at all, just like if you bought from a classified ad in a newspaper, or a guy you met in a bar.
I know ebay is an online auction site but that is all i know. Well, thanks for enlightening me! Although i sound stupid, hehe! BTW, just wanted to know, Dias means days right? how about verano?SUMMER. It's from the NAME of a song by Amaral. Dias de verano means "days of summer"

Primavera, verano, otoño, invierno.

oh bugger,

well you win some you loose some.
Thanks for the replies guys.
