Solve : Plug and play devices?

Answer»

This is my first TIME using this website. I have a question. Is a plug and play device necessary for a computer to function when running windows xp? In other words could I delete this from my computer and will it still run normally? Because whenever I try to hear anything on my computer it says that my speakers or SOUND is being used by another device and when I looked it up in BIOS it says that the speakers are being run under the plug and play enumerator.Yes.
Plug & Play...
Enables a computer to recognize and adapt to hardware CHANGES with little or no user input. Stopping or disabling this service will result in system instability.aubrey372......What is it your trying to play and what player are you using ?

dl65 Well, ACTUALLY am trying to get my speakers to work and its saying they are being used by another device. When I went into BIOS it says that they are being used by the plug and play device, so I am wondering if I disable it if it will affect how my computer runs or n E thing like that
Then your problem is....
My sound doesn't work?
Is it onboard or do you have a sound card?
Any warnings or errors showing in the device manager?Providing that this is a speaker issue, did you read the manual?
