I have not found a clear definition of this in CH dict.,

nor a very clear one on the INTERNET,

you may have had some experience with it,
I found this, . .but I not so sure it is comprehensive.

This event ID is a warning message that you can safely ignore. The warning basically
means that an application REGISTERED to receive Plug and Play (PnP) device interface
notifications but didn't respond to a notification within 30 seconds.

This seems to be a controversial subject with computer experts,
but there still basically talking greek to me.

What is this ??  :-?  ??

On the page referred, this is the header line ;

My system has the symptoms but I did not find the security update
in A/R ?

Is it possible I have the symptoms of EID 256, without the MS04-011 UD ?

Presently ordering an MS SP2 DISK for installation.

Excerpt from referred MS page;

I assume then that this not apply to my WXP, correct ?
