I have run sys.restore and Reg clean.  also defrag and washer.  Upon booting up I get a almost non-deletable dialogue window searching for "Scan or Fax" The window tells me that it is on a removable disk known as "QUICK Projects"  I do not have that disk and never did.  Everything seems to be working ok but AOL optimizer tells me that there is a conflict problem somewhere and then that same silly dialogue window will come back.  I searched the web for it but to no avail.  I do not want to restore back to months ago and then rebuild, any suggestions?Joe......Why was it necessary to do a SYSTEM restore?
That MAY be important in finding your problem.
you mentioned "quick projects".........have you ran a SEARCH for any files or folders called that.........including hidden files. What operating system are you using. The other thing is AOL........have you tried running this PAST their techs?    There seems to be a wack of people with AOL problems recently.
