Is there anything on it that is absolutely necessary? My Sony vaio crashed and the hard drive was replaced and I was asked if I had a recovery disc which I don't. But I was wondering if I COULD use this as an opportunity to upgrade to windows 7? Any drivers I might need are on Sonys website so Is there gonna be anything I need on the disc?The recovery disc is just that - a recovery disc. If you want to upgrade to a different OS then the recovery disc would be useless. Just make sure your SYSTEM is W7 compatible.So basically the only thing on the recovery disc is gonna be windows vista and the drivers?
