Solve : Resizing pictures.? |

Answer» I have to re-size some pictures to post on an other site. They are some pictures of some air brushed art work. Each picture is about 3MB in size. I need to reduce them to be ABLE to post them. I think you can only post 1200KB. How do I do that? Thank you much for your time. I don't know what I would do with out this site. I know it can be done with Paint but Paint is a clunky tool to use for resizing, in my opinion. Here's why (I'm referring to Paint with Win XP). From the Image menu, if you try the Attributes tool, that does not scale-down the whole image, it just cuts a portion of the original out. Clearly, that's not what's wanted here. So, the tool to use to resize the whole image is Stretch/Skew but it does not allow the user to specify the new size in pixels; it works with percentages and that is the clunky part I don't like. I'd rather be able to specify the new size in pixels. In pain go to Image Stretch/skew. Go to the attribute place in paint also. If you want to get a nicer image program, buy Adobe Photoshop.WARNING: takes time getting used to. You don't need to buy the newest version either. If you don't want to be professional, use paint. If you don't want to be professional, use paint.That's an absurd recommendation. As I previously stated, there are many freeware photo editing programs that are nicer to use for resizing than Paint. And, don't cameras come with software nowadays? I haven't bought a digital camera for a long time. My old Fuji camera came with FinePix Viewer photo software that has batch resizing capability, which works quite well.I down loaded one of the freeware apps and it works faster than paint. I guess I will stick with that one. Oh the first one on the list to down load is the one that wants you to buy it after the down load. Thank you much for your help and time.Irfanview......FREE. |
