Answer» Hi, I'm thinking of repairing a RROD'ed xbox from EBAY as I'm watching my money. Is there any other common xbox malfunctions that ill need to worry about ontop of RRODJust contact Microsoft Support. They'll repair it for free. BUT, you need PROOF of purchase.I Think The Might Had GAVE An Warranty Card With The Bill You really just need your physical Xbox. I had to send my xbox in for repair about a month ago. All I did was read my serial number, they gave me a repair code, and I took it to the shop. im sure there is some guides on youtube to do it i seen one to fix the RROD using 8 pennys , some electrical tape and some good old thermal compound i have never tried this, mainly cos i dont have a xbox but dont think it really works Quote from: blackrainbow on June 01, 2010, 02:55:48 AM im sure there is some guides on youtube to do it i seen one to fix the RROD using 8 pennys , some electrical tape and some good old thermal compound i have never tried this, mainly cos i dont have a xbox but dont think it really works It would be a better idea just to send it in, even if it did work, that would VOID the warranty for future repairs.
