I wonder if IE still does it now that version 8 is already out?Interesting this is the first I've heard of this issue as well. I did LIKE one of the comments on the post. Set your IE settings to "HIGH" so if something happens to open in IE even though you've GOT Firefox set as your default browser your pretty safe. I wonder if you can set IE tab extension in firefox as default for THINGS opening in IE only?I don't believe the IE tab extension would work for the potential vulnerability that I was considering. Some programs specify to open themselves in a specific browser. So if a program was designed to itself in IE it would do it regardless of what extensions you had in Firefox. |
