Solve : Skype -v- Power Options.?

I have RECENTLY started using Skype and a Webcam. I have my Power Options SET to shut down the Monitor after 3 minutes non-use. All works well UNTIL I use Skype and then the Power Option does not come in and the Monitor stays on forever. If I reboot, all is well again until I again use Skype. Any ideas PLEASE?

I do not know exactly how this happens, but I know it's the same problem as HP trying to update on some computers as well.
