Power sockets can be used to eavesdrop on what people type on a computer.
SECURITY RESEARCHERS found that poor shielding on some keyboard cables means useful data can be leaked about each CHARACTER typed. By analysing the information leaking onto power circuits, the researchers could see what a target was typing.

xxYou're making this up! No, wait, I guess you're not! Interesting story and something I'd never guess was possible. I wonder though if the same issue would affect USB keyboards, since the story just MENTIONS PS/2 keyboards. So, I guess we'll have to revise our advice about ps/2 mice and keyboards. Keep them for testing purposes, only! ASSUMING it's not possible with USB, I'd imagine the signal would be much the same as a PS/2 cable, just not sure if they're shielded better than a PS/2 cable.
