Answer» Ok, I think I just got a virus out of my system...however, when I GO to control panel > admin tools, and try to click on one of the options there, it always pops up with an error message. For example, when I double click on "Services", it pops up as C:\Windows\system32\services.msc - access is denied. Is there any reason why I wouldn't be able to open this? Is it CONNECTED to a virus or something malicious? Also, how the heck do I get Google Update Service off my system? It seems that no matter what I have tried, it always shows up in my HijackThis logs.... PS - You people are amazing, keep up the good work...the world would be a better PLACE with more people like you! Edit - never mind, I fixed the admin tools PROBLEM myself with some OLD fashioned computer hacking and, using the services tab, was able to finally disable Google Update Service for good, at least it looks like it!! just to make sure plz post a hijackthis log
